Avatar Meher Baba devoted his life to awakening Humanity to experiencing the reality of Divine Love. He declared himself as the Ancient One and the Highest of the High. In his Universal message, Baba proclaimed the “He had come not to teach, but to awaken”.

In the early 1980's, The Meher Baba Washington Gathering was established by Daniel Stone after he was prompted by Kitty Davy, a close disciple of Avatar Meher Baba, also called as “Baba Mandali”, who was living at the Meher Spiritual Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Meher Baba Washington Gathering was joined early on by Pamela Butler Stone soon after its initiation.

Meher Baba followers in the Washington DC area come from different walks of lives and past religious upbringing. Some of have grown with the awareness that Baba is the Highest of the High, the Parvardigar and God in human form. We have various activities at our gatherings and our discussions focus on the Avatar, no politics or business discussions.
